Your order will ship in a specialized wine shipping box. Certain stock has the original wooden case available for selection. The case is sent separately through FedEx or UPS.
If your order is due to arrive at a time inconvinient for you, we can hold the wine for you in a third-party facility overseas. This service is free of charge for the first three (3) months. After this period, we will need to arrange shipping the wine to your designated address or opening a storage account with Westgarth Wines.
All shipping details will be included in the confirmation of your order at the time of purchase. We will also email to confirm delivery once there is a tracking link available for your order. Please note that deliveries will only take place where the weather permits.
Loss and Breakage insurance is calculated at 1% and will cover damage in transit or loss by shipping agents
Upon importation, certain wines attract a tariff to be paid. The importation tariff is currently 25%. This tariff can change during the year; you can choose to pay the tariff now at the current rate, or select to pay the tariff 10-15 days before your order is due to land in the US.
If you choose to pay the tariff now, and the rate has changed, you will receive an email advising you of any payment or refund based on the rate difference between when the order was placed and at the time of importation.
If you choose to pay the tariff 10-15 days ahead of importation, we will generate a seperate invoice for the current rate at that time. If you do not pay this tariff your order will be forfeited.
We may also offer a “hold” if you would prefer to wait for the tariff rate to drop - please contact info@westgarthwines.com for more information.
