A small estate based in Vosne-Romanée, Domaine Anne Gros produces elegant wines from both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The 16-acre domaine has holdings across 9 appellations, with acquisitions in Clos Vougeot, Echézeaux and Richebourg. The domaine also produces a village-level wines, including Vosen-Romanée and Chambolle-Musigny, as well as a variety of Bourgogne wines. Anne Gros subscribes to the philosophy of biodynamic farming, and puts this commitment into practice aggressively.The vinification process is especially impacted, with red vinified in epoxy-lined cement tanks, and whites in stainless steel. The domaine also used a high proportion of new oak with up to 80% for its grand crus. Anne Gros herself is part of an extensive family network of winemakers. She and her partner recently established Domaine Anne Gros and Jean-Paul Tollotat Cazelles in Minervois. The domaine is also one of severalthat now offers onsite vacations and tours, further enhanced its name recognition.
